Amelia Long Game Report: @ Amherst County

Amelia Long was dynamite on Tuesday, striking out eight batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off five hits (and not a single walk). As if that's not impressive enough, the pitching appearance was her eighth in a row with one or fewer earned runs. On the season, she has an ERA of 0.31 over 46.2 innings pitched.

Coming up, Long and Jefferson Forest will challenge Brookville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Sadly, Long's big day wasn't enough to stop the loss, which snapped the Cavaliers' seven-game streak of wins on the road. With the streak broken, Long and the Cavaliers surely have a bit of extra motivation heading into Friday's match.
