Soccer Game Preview: Grayson County vs. Galax

Grayson County hasn't had much luck against Galax recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Blue Devils will face off against the Maroon Tide at 5:30 p.m. Grayson County has given up an average of 5.7 goals per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Grayson County came up short against George Wythe on Monday, falling 10-1. Things were pretty much settled by the half as Grayson County were already down 6-1.

Meanwhile, after a string of five wins, Galax's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They and Carroll County finished up their match with a 1-1 draw. The result kept Galax happy, as they haven't lost a game since April 17th.

With that draw, Galax's record moves to 10-2-2. As for Grayson County, their loss dropped their record down to 2-8-1.

Grayson County suffered a grim 8-0 defeat to Galax in their previous matchup back in April. Can the Blue Devils avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
