6A District 2 recap October 8, 2013

Westmoore extended the longest winning streak in 6A District 2 this week by beating Muskogee, 48-7. The victory was the fifth in a row for the Jaguars.

Sapulpa lost to Jenks 59-7 last week, the largest margin of any game.

Broken Arrow's dynamic duo of Coleman Key and Austin Reed proved tough for Bixby to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Key threw for 233 yards and 4 touchdowns and Reed had 126 yards receiving. Myles Smith helped Broken Arrow's passing attack out by catching 6 balls for 86 yards.

He went 26-35 with 2 interceptions.

Bixby's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Spartans feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Marshall Ray has thrown for 1,528 yards and 16 touchdowns this season, while Kyle Rhine has 27 catches for 520 yards.

The most important game in the league this week will be the match up between the Chieftains and the Spartans. Sapulpa comes into the matchup ranked 22nd in the state, while Bixby ranks 11th.
