Baseball Recap: Phillips Academy Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Phillips Academy, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They never let Tournament Opponent get on the board and left with a 4-0 win on Wednesday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Big Blue as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Not much got past Robert Brown, who gave up just three hits and racked up eight Ks to keep Tournament Opponent off the board. Brown has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Logan Umbarch, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run. That stolen base was his first of the season.

Phillips Academy's win bumped their record up to 6-12.

Coming up, Phillips Academy is taking a road trip to take on Dexter Southfield at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Dexter Southfield will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Phillips Academy surely won't give up without a fight.
