Softball Recap: Dillon Makes It Four in a Row at Home

Dillon's game on Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They never let the Orangeburg-Wilkinson Bruins get on the board and left with a 17-0 victory. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Wildcats considering their two-run performance the contest before.

Dillon's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-15-1. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.8 runs on average over those games. As for Orangeburg-Wilkinson, they are on a 13-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-10.

Coming up, Dillon will head out on the road to square off against Silver Bluff at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Wildcats' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bulldogs have averaged an impressive 6.8 runs per game this season. Orangeburg-Wilkinson does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
