Auburn Mountainview's matchup on Friday was close up to the half, which is when they kicked things up a notch. Everything went their way against the Decatur Golden Gators as the Auburn Mountainview Lions made off with an 87-62 victory. The Lions have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 games by 21 points or more this season.

Auburn Mountainview got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Sebastian Arius out in front who dropped a double-double on 27 points and 14 rebounds. The dominant performance gave Arius a new career-high in boards. Another player making a difference was Beckett Jones, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 18 rebounds.

Auburn Mountainview smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 26 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've managed all season.

When it comes to explaining why Decatur lost, don't look at Jorge Martinez. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 22 points and 11 boards. Martinez is also crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least three every time he's taken the court this season. Dominique Degrate was another key player, putting up eight points and seven rebounds.

Auburn Mountainview's victory was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 18-1. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 82.0 points per game. As for Decatur, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-12.

Coincidentally, Auburn Mountainview and Decatur will both be playing Kentlake the next time they take the court. Auburn Mountainview will host Kentlake on Thursday, while Decatur will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
