Riverdale is 1-9 against Hall since April of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Saturday. The Rams are taking a road trip to take on the Red Devils at 11:00 a.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Hall will be up against a hot Riverdale squad: the team just extended their winning streak to three. The Rams blew past Mercer County 15-5 on Thursday. That's two games straight that the Rams have won by exactly ten runs.
Gaege Heinsen and Tyler Nadolson were major factors while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Heinsen struck out eight batters over five innings while giving up just two earned (and three unearned) runs off four hits. Meanwhile, Nadolson pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. That's the most strikeouts Heinsen has posted since back in April. At the plate, Heinsen went 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI, while Nadolson went 3-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. Nadolson also put up a triple, which was his first of the season.

In other batting news, Riverdale let Jackson Fritch and Austin Duke run wild. Fritch got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run and three RBI, while Duke got on base in three of his five plate appearances with three runs and two RBI. Those three runs gave Duke a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kyle Wright, who went 1-for-4 with one home run.
Riverdale lost a few balls and finished the game with four home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, while Hall put up some runs on Thursday, the same can't be said for Princeton. The Red Devils put the hurt on the Tigers with a sharp 10-0 win. The Red Devils have beaten the Tigers the last four times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Tigers has come to flipping the script.
Luke Bryant made a big impact no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out six over five innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in 11 consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Geno Ferrari, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, one double, and one RBI. Noah Plym was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.
Riverdale's record is now 15-6. As for Hall, their record now sits at 16-8-1.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Saturday as neither team is afraid to steal. Riverdale has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.3 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Hall struggles in that department as they've been averaging 4.2 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Riverdale couldn't quite get it done against Hall in their previous matchup back in May of 2025 as they fell 8-5. Can the Rams avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
