Softball Recap: Byrd Takes a Loss

Byrd was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They came up short against the Airline Vikings, falling 9-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Yellow Jackets of the 10-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

Byrd's loss dropped their record down to 4-13. As for Airline, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-9.

Coming up, Byrd will host Ebarb at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Rebels will roll in looking for their ninth straight win, something the Yellow Jackets surely won't give up without a fight. As for Airline, they will face off against Glenbrook at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
