Basketball Recap: Iron Mountain Comes Up Short

Iron Mountain was the 49-30 winner over Gwinn when they last played one another back in December of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Iron Mountain Mountaineers fell 44-37 to the Gwinn Modeltowners on Tuesday.

Iron Mountain has also been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 14 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-15 record this season. Gwinn's record is now 4-15.

Iron Mountain and Gwinn could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Michigan Rankings. Iron Mountain will face off against Gladstone at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday down 364 places (401 vs. 37). Similarly, Gwinn (ranked 461st) will meet Westwood (ranked 204th) at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday.
