Football Recap: Scott Comes Up Short

Scott extended their losing streak to five on Friday, dropping them down to 2-8. They took a blow against the Lima Senior Spartans, falling 37-6. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio football rankings (they are ranked 550th, while the Spartans are ranked 224th).

As for Lima Senior, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-2. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 46.7 points over those games.

Ja'Niaus Avanti K'Mere Hall continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, throwing for 379 yards and two TDs, while also rushing for 100 yards and one touchdown. He has become a key player for Lima Senior: the team is undefeated when he posts at least 250 passing yards, but 1-2 otherwise. A healthy portion of Avanti K'Mere Hall's aerial production (120 yards to be exact) went to Jermaine Maxwell.

Scott does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lima Senior, they will take on Aiken at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
