Volleyball Game Preview: Rockmart Yellowjackets vs. Murray County Indians

Rockmart is 2-8 against Murray County since August of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Yellowjackets will square off against the Indians at 5:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

On Tuesday, Rockmart came up short against Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe and fell 2-0.

Rockmart's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Lilly Griffin, who had nine digs and three aces, and Gracie Wilson, who had six digs.

Meanwhile, Murray County also suffered a loss in their last game, falling to Ringgold by a score of 2-0. The Indians haven't had much luck with the Tigers recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

The final score came out to 25-9, 25-16.

Rockmart's loss dropped their record down to 11-32. As for Murray County, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-22.

Rockmart couldn't quite get it done against Murray County when the teams last played last Tuesday as they fell 2-0. Can the Yellowjackets avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
