Softball Recap: Flowing Wells Victorious

Flowing Wells was forced to take a big loss against they on Tuesday, they got the better of them on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Pueblo Warriors, sneaking past 11-9. This was a revenge game for the Caballeros: when they faced off against the Warriors on Tuesday, they had to take a 18-3 defeat.

The team relied heavily on Brisiana Quevedo, who went 3-for-5 with two runs and one stolen base. Those three hits gave her a new career-high.

Flowing Wells was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .429. They are 4-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Flowing Wells' record now sits at 14-15. As for Pueblo, their loss was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 5-16.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Flowing Wells will square off against Buena at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Pueblo, they will challenge Nogales at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Warriors are facing the Apaches at the right time seeing as the Apaches are stuck on a nine-game losing streak.
