Basketball Recap: Lordsburg Takes a Loss

After flying high against Capitan last Tuesday, Lordsburg came back down to earth. The Lordsburg Mavericks took a 58-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mescalero Apache Chiefs on Wednesday. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Chiefs this season, with their most recent loss being a 67-49 defeat two weeks ago.

Lordsburg's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 13-12. As for Mescalero Apache, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 17-10 record this season.

As of now, neither Lordsburg nor Mescalero Apache have any future games scheduled.
