Basketball Game Preview: Stafford Indians vs. Colonial Forge Eagles

Stafford hasn't had much luck against Colonial Forge recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Stafford Indians will be playing at home against the Colonial Forge Eagles at 5:00 p.m. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Colonial Forge will be up against a hot Stafford team: the squad just extended their winning streak to three. Stafford simply couldn't be stopped on Saturday as they easily beat Caroline 64-33. The Indians have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four contests by 23 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Colonial Forge). They claimed a resounding 66-34 victory over North Stafford. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 125th, while the Wolverines are ranked 342nd), the result on Friday wasn't entirely unexpected.

Colonial Forge has also been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.3 points per game. As for Stafford, their win bumped their record up to 7-4.
