Winning always takes teamwork, but on Friday Johnathan Diaz stepped things up a notch to give Sunnyside the 'W'. Diaz was unstoppable, throwing for 193 yards and two touchdowns while completing 81.2% of his passes, and also rushing for 97 yards on only nine carries. His passing game has become a key predictor of Sunnyside's success: the team is undefeated when his passer rating is 100 or higher, but only 0-4 otherwise.

Coming up, Diaz and Sunnyside will challenge Fresno at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Wildcats are 8-1 against the Warriors going back to October of 2016, a lead they'll look to extend.
