Basketball Recap: Gilford Comes Up Short

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Gilford couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They were dealt a 65-27 defeat at the hands of the Monadnock Huskies on Saturday. The Golden Eagles haven't had much luck with the Huskies recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Gilford's loss dropped their record down to 16-5. As for Monadnock, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 16-4.

Gilford does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Monadnock has already played their next contest (against St. Thomas Aquinas), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
