Soccer Recap: Combs Takes a Loss

Combs lost to Eastmark back in January of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Coyotes came up short against the Firebirds, falling 12-0. While losing is never fun, Combs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona soccer rankings (they are ranked 164th, while Eastmark are ranked 35th).

Combs has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-8-1 record this season. As for Eastmark, their victory bumped their record up to 9-4-2.

Looking ahead, Combs will head out on the road to face off against Poston Butte at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Combs will be up against Poston Butte's rather soft defense (which has allowed 3.78 goals per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Eastmark, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Crismon at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Crismon's defense has only allowed 0.4 goals per game this season, so Eastmark's offense will have their work cut out for them.
