Central took a 58-point defeat the last time they faced off against Shawnee, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Central Yellow Jackets never let the Shawnee Golden Eagles onto the board and left with a 2-0 win on Friday. The two-point effort marked the Yellow Jackets' lowest-scoring contest of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Central's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-6. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 29.0 points over those games. As for Shawnee, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-18.
