Softball Preview: Trona Tornadoes vs. Immanuel Christian Crusaders
Trona is 1-9 against Immanuel Christian since May of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. Abigail Barham was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and only one hit while striking out 12 over five innings pitched. Barham has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts every time she's pitched this season. Barham was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Holly Cosner, who went 2-for-3 with a home run, four RBI, and two runs. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now stolen at least one in the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Katheryn Galvez, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in two of her three plate appearances.
