Softball Recap: Mescalero Apache Comes Up Short

Mescalero Apache lost against Ruidoso back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Chiefs came up short against the Warriors, falling 26-9.

Mescalero Apache dropped their record down to 2-5 with the loss, which was their third straight at home. Those home defeats can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.7 runs over those games. As for Ruidoso, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 13-2.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Warriors beat Mescalero Apache by a score of 13-1 later that day.
