Osbourn is 0-6 against Hylton since April of 2015 but things could change on Monday. The Eagles will venture away from home to square off against the Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. Hylton took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Osbourn, who comes in off a win.
Osbourn will roll into the game after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any runs on Tuesday, then bounced right back against Park View on Thursday. The Eagles put the hurt on the Patriots with a sharp 20-2 victory. Considering the Eagles have won five contests by more than eight runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

MacKenzie Fitterer made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits. Those nine strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and two RBI.
In other batting news, Britney Reyes was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with one home run, four runs, and two RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March. Tristyn Kershner also deserves some recognition as she launched her first home run of the season.
Osbourn lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Hylton scored first but ultimately less than Woodbridge in their match on Friday. They lost 14-7 to the Vikings.
Luana Plummer made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one double. Another player making a difference was Aaliyah Dreyfuss, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one run and one RBI.
Hylton's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-6. As for Osbourn, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-9.
Monday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Osbourn has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .532. However, it's not like Hylton struggles in that department as they've averaged .505. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Osbourn couldn't quite finish off Hylton when the teams last played back in April of 2024 and fell 4-2. Can the Eagles avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
