Volleyball Recap: River Valley Takes a Loss

River Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pinecrest Academy Cadence Cougars. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cougars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 1-0 on Saturday.

Isabelle Arnold had an outrageously good game for Pinecrest Academy Cadence as she had 16 digs and three aces. That's the most digs Arnold has posted over her last 13 matches.

River Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Pinecrest Academy Cadence, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-9 record this season.

River Valley will square off against Somerton at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Pinecrest Academy Cadence, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against Kingman Academy on the 13th.
