Softball Game Preview: Fargo Davies Eagles vs. Fargo North Spartans

The Fargo Davies Eagles will square off against the Fargo North Spartans at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Fargo Davies is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of North Dakota's top teams: Red River, who was ranked 24th at the time (Fargo Davies was ranked 20th). The Eagles fell 4-0 to the Roughriders on Tuesday. The contest marked the first time this season in which the Eagles were not able to get on the board.

Meanwhile, Fargo North waltzed into their match on Tuesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. Everything went their way against the Hi-Liners as they made off with a 20-14 win. The result was nothing new for the Spartans, who have now won four games by six runs or more so far this season.

Fargo North pushed their record up to 6-2 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 17.0 runs over those games. As for Fargo Davies, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-3.
