Snow Canyon is 9-1 against Hurricane since March of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. Snow Canyon will be playing in front of their home fans against Hurricane at 7:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.
As a matter of fact, Snow Canyon put up the most points they have all season on Saturday. They blew past Murray 19-1. Considering the Warriors have won six contests by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.
Falynn Randall was a standout: she got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. Another player making a difference was Marianna Acuna, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs.
Meanwhile, Hurricane came into Thursday's game having lost ten straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They came out on top against Crimson Cliffs by a score of 10-5 on Thursday.
Austin Terry spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and one unearned) runs on 11 hits and racked up six Ks. Those six strikeouts gave her a new career-high.
At the plate, Faith Fuller was incredible, going 4-for-5 with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Ashlyn Hirschi, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in three of her five plate appearances.
Hurricane kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hit total in three consecutive matches.
Snow Canyon has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-8 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. Hurricane's victory was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 3-11.
Snow Canyon skirted past Hurricane 3-2 when the teams last played back in March of 2024. Does Snow Canyon have another victory up their sleeve, or will Hurricane turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
