Softball Recap: Oneida Comes Up Short

Oneida was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost an 11-10 heartbreaker at the hands of the Central Valley Academy Thunder. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Express of the 10-8 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Oneida's loss dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Central Valley Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-6 record this season.

Oneida does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Central Valley Academy, they are taking a road trip to take on New Hartford at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Spartans will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Thunder surely won't give up without a fight.
