Baseball Game Preview: Lyford Bulldogs vs. Ingleside Mustangs

The Lyford Bulldogs are taking a road trip to square off against the Ingleside Mustangs at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lyford's pitching crew has only allowed 3.4 runs per game this season, so Ingleside's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Lyford is headed into Tuesday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Friday. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 5-4 heartbreaker at the hands of Ingleside.

Lyford saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Maverick Claffy, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two doubles. Those two doubles gave Claffy a new career-high. Aiden Rubalcaba also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Ingleside's win bumped their record up to 4-1-1. As for Lyford, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-5.
