Volleyball Recap: Harrisburg's Luck Changes for the Better on Monday

Harrisburg came into Monday's contest having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Gallatin County Hawks on Monday. The Bulldogs have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Hawks, too.

The win didn't come easy: Gallatin County scored at least 18 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-18.

Koral Hathaway paced Harrisburg's offense, picking up eight kills. Hathaway got some help from McKendra Douglas and her 12 assists. Hathaway was also a major player on defense: she and Savannah Flannery shared the team lead in blocks, finishing with two each.

Harrisburg's record is now 9-15. As for Gallatin County, their loss ended a three-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matches. Harrisburg will take on Herrin at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Gallatin County, they will face off against Pope County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
