Randolph has gone a perfect 9-0 against Brocton recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Cardinals will square off against the Bulldogs at 4:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Randolph has three straight victories, Brocton has eight straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Randolph will bounce into Friday's match after beating Gowanda, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Cardinals had just enough and edged out the Panthers 9-8 on Thursday. The game was the first time the Cardinals have beaten the Panthers on their field since April 21, 2022.

Aliza Hind was excellent, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with one run and one double. Another player making a difference was Aryana Sears, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Forestville Central hit Brocton with a four-run seventh inning on Wednesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Bulldogs lost 13-1 to the Hornets.

Brocton saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Maria Daugherty, who went 2-for-3 with one run. That run was Daugherty's first of the season.

Brocton's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Randolph, their win bumped their record up to 5-6.

Randolph took their victory against Brocton when the teams last played back in April by a conclusive 9-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cardinals since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
