Fultondale has gone a perfect 7-0 against Minor recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. A feisty cat fight will be fought as the Fultondale challenge the Minor at 2:30 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

On Thursday, Fultondale made easy work of Mortimer Jordan and carried off a 6-3 victory. Considering the Wildcats' offense had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

They hit Mortimer Jordan with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Kevin Munguia (2), Eric Santos (2), Orlando Cruz, and Omar Chavez.

Meanwhile, Minor hadn't done well against Homewood recently (they were 0-5 in their previous five matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. Minor's defense stepped up to hand Homewood a 10-0 shutout. That's two games straight that the Tigers have won by exactly ten goals.

The win made it two in a row for Minor and bumps their season record up to a perfect 2-0. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those two matchups. As for Fultondale, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Fultondale took their win against Minor in their previous matchup back in April of 2023 by a conclusive 6-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for Fultondale since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
