Soccer Recap: Shaw Takes a Loss

Shaw was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-3 heartbreaker at the hands of the Fuchs Mizrachi Mayhem. The game was a 1-1 toss-up at halftime, but Shaw couldn't quite close it out.

Angelani Mlondani and Tynya Jackson scored all three of Shaw's goals, bringing their combined season tally to eight goals.

Shaw's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Fuchs Mizrachi, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Coming up, Shaw will square off against Villa Angela-St. Joseph at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Fuchs Mizrachi, they will face off against North at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Fuchs Mizrachi will be up against North's rather soft defense (which has allowed 2.86 goals per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
