After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Rocky Mount, Roanoke Rapids was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They secured a 52-47 W over the Bunn Wildcats. The Yellowjackets haven't had any issues with the Wildcats recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Despite the defeat, Bunn saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Josiah Rice went 6-for-14 to rack up 19 points and six boards. The team also got some help courtesy of CJ Kearney, who posted six points along with six assists and five steals.

Roanoke Rapids' victory bumped their record up to 12-7. As for Bunn, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 9-13 record this season.

Looking ahead, Roanoke Rapids won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Nash Central at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Bunn does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
