Basketball Recap: Bishop Lynch Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Bishop Lynch, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They came out on top against the Ursuline Academy Bears by a score of 51-42 on Tuesday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 60-57 back in January.

Defeat or not, Ursuline Academy got some senior leadership from Lily Smith and Annabelle Tobin. Smith went 6-for-10 en route to 16 points and five assists, while Tobin went 5-for-11 to rack up 13 points and four steals. That's the most assists Smith has posted since back in December of 2024. Lucy Devlin was another key player, putting up three points in addition to seven assists and three steals.

The win got Bishop Lynch back to even at 15-15. As for Ursuline Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 14-18 record this season.
