Triway can now show off 14 landslide victories after their most recent contest on Friday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Waynedale Golden Bears an 18-0 shutout. The victory was nothing new for Triway as they're now sitting on four straight.
Carter Wachtel was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and only one hit while striking out six over five innings pitched. Wachtel has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in 15 consecutive pitching appearances. Wachtel was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-5 with two RBI.
In other batting news, Triway got a massive performance out of Kenzie Gatti, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and a triple. Samantha Schumacher was another key contributor, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with a home run, three RBI, and two runs.
Triway's win bumped their record up to 24-2. As for Waynedale, they dropped their record down to 7-15 with that defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road.
