Volleyball Recap: Ingleside Comes Up Short

Ingleside was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Calallen Wildcats. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Mustangs of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2020.

Ingleside may have fallen short, but they were sure consistent: they scored six points in every single set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-6, 25-6.

Ingleside's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Calallen, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season.

Ingleside will take on Annapolis Christian Academy in a tournament on Friday. As for Calallen, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Miller on the 22nd.
