Baseball Recap: Van Horn Has No Trouble Against Cardinal Ritter College Prep

The Van Horn Falcons got the win against the Cardinal Ritter College Prep Lions on Friday by a conclusive 10-3. Considering the Falcons have won five matchups by more than six runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Caleb Bushakra was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with four stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. Those two hits gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Brody Gray, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and one run.

Van Horn now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Cardinal Ritter College Prep, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-6 record this season.

Van Horn will be taking part in a tournament against Harmon at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. The Falcons' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Hawks have averaged an impressive 9.1 runs per game this season. As for Cardinal Ritter College Prep, they will welcome Gateway Legacy Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
