Football Recap: Higley Knights vs. Williams Field Black Hawks
After low-scoring totals in their previous three contests, Higley brought some dynamite into their most recent contest. They blew past the Williams Field Black Hawks 34-0 on Thursday. The win was some much needed relief for the Knights as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.
Ava Taliaferro was a one-man wrecking crew for Higley as she threw for 283 yards and five touchdowns while completing 80% of her passes. The team also got some help courtesy of Maci Kerns, who picked up 117 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Higley's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-7. As for Williams Field, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-12 record this season.
As of now, neither Higley nor Williams Field have any future games scheduled.
