Softball Recap: Poly Has No Trouble Against Aquinas

Poly had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They put the hurt on the Aquinas Falcons with a sharp 8-2 victory on Monday.

Honesty Romero and Karly Romero did most of the damage at the plate: Honesty went 2-for-3 with one home run, while Karly scored two runs while going 3-for-4. The dominant performance also gave Karly a new career-high in hits (three). Another player making a difference was Katelyn Cortez, who scored a run while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

Poly wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 15-2 win against Indio on the 17th. As for Aquinas, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 5-3 victory against Redlands East Valley on the 17th.
