Basketball Game Preview: Alex Longhorns vs. Dibble Demons

The Alex Longhorns will head out to square off against the Dibble Demons at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Alex will be strutting in after a win while Dibble will be coming in after a defeat.

Last Friday, Alex strolled past Sterling with points to spare, taking the game 42-27. Given the Longhorns' advantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 142nd, while the Tigers are ranked 289th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Dibble came up short against Davis on Saturday, falling 65-42.

Alex is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season. As for Dibble, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 7-7.

Things could have been worse for Alex, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 49-34 loss to Dibble when the teams last played back in December of 2023. Can Alex avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
