Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Cheney). They came out on top against the Central Valley Bears by a score of 87-79 on Friday. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Blackhawks' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 212th, while the Bears are ranked 80th).

The win snapped Cheney's losing streak at six games and leaves them with a 5-13 record. As for Central Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 9-9.

Cheney will be playing at home against Ridgeline at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Cheney has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Central Valley, they will square off against Mead at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Mead's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
