Virginia City won the last time they faced Mineral County and things went their way on Friday too. The Virginia City Muckers blew past the Mineral County Serpents, posting a 70-39 win. The Muckers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 matches by 23 points or more this season.

Several Serpents players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Andrew Stinson, who posted eight points and four steals. Another player making a difference was Jaeden Majano, who earned ten points and seven rebounds.

Virginia City's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-1. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.0 points per game. As for Mineral County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-13.

Virginia City wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 72-35 win against Smith Valley on the 1st. As for Mineral County, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Coleville at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Mineral County is facing Coleville at the right time seeing as Coleville is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
