Softball Recap: North Summit Comes Up Short

North Summit was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 16th straight defeat. They fell 12-7 to the East Leopards.

SAVANNAH WINDHORST was cooking despite her team's loss, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with three stolen bases and two runs. Another player making a difference was CHLOE STALEY, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and two RBI.

North Summit's loss dropped their record down to 1-17. As for East, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 12-9 record this season.

North Summit will be taking part in a tournament against Providence Hall at 5:15 p.m. on Saturday. The Braves' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Patriots have averaged an impressive 11.4 runs per game this season. As for East, they will challenge Olympus at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Leopards will need to watch out since the Titans have now posted at least ten runs in their last four contests.
