Baseball Recap: Ridgeview Takes a Loss

If Ridgeview was feeling good fresh off their 8-2 takedown of Cissna Park last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Mustangs lost 11-1 to the Heyworth Hornets on Monday. The match marked the Mustangs' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Ridgeview saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Max Mason, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Ridgeview moved to 5-4-1 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Heyworth, their win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 6-7.

Coming up, Ridgeview is taking a road trip to face off against Gardner-South Wilmington at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Heyworth, they will welcome Argenta-Oreana at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bombers will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Hornets surely won't give up without a fight.
