Prairie hadn't done well against Briggsdale recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Mustangs came out on top against the Falcons by a score of 3-1. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-1 back in September.

Prairie was especially dominant in the third set. The final score came out to 25-18, 16-25, 25-13, 25-18.

Prairie found their leader in sophomore Kali Sutter, who had 14 digs. Alice Marler also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.

Prairie was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 15 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Briggsdale only served six.

Despite the loss, Briggsdale saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Sloan Benson had 16 digs. Benson has been hot recently, having posted ten or more digs the last three times she's played.

Prairie's record is now 9-2. As for Briggsdale, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-10.

Prairie has already played their next match, a 3-2 win against Caliche on the 3rd. As for Briggsdale, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Otis on the 3rd.
