Softball Recap: Lyndon Comes Up Short

Lyndon couldn't beat Council Grove on Friday even though they stacked four runs on them in the fifth inning. The Tigers came up short against the Braves, falling 16-6. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Braves this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 13-2 on Friday.

Bella Hobbs made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run and four RBI. Macy Weece was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

Lyndon's defeat dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Council Grove, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lyndon will welcome Wabaunsee at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Council Grove, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against Hillsboro at 4:00 p.m.
