Softball Recap: Dos Palos Broncos vs. Roosevelt Rough Riders
After only two runs in their last contest, Dos Palos made sure to put some runs up on the board against Roosevelt on Thursday. Dos Palos never let Roosevelt get on the board and left with an 11-0 victory. The Broncos might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three games by nine runs or more this season.
Breann Raney was a major factor no matter where she played. She kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits over four innings pitched. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-low in hits (zero). She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with three RBI and two doubles. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March of 2024.
In other batting news, Karina Navarro and Carly Brinkley did most of the damage at the plate: Navarro scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-2, while Brinkley scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. Yaretzi Sandoval also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.
