Soccer Game Preview: Dobson vs. Gila Ridge

The Dobson Mustangs and the Gila Ridge Hawks will compete for holiday cheer at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Dobson's last three matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Dobson is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Apollo just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Hawks by a score of 3-2.

Angel Bacasegua and Diego Romo scored both of Dobson's goals, bringing their combined season tally to ten goals.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Gila Ridge, who bounced back after a loss on the road two weeks ago. They blew past West Point 4-1 on Friday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Hawks needed considering they were shutout in their previous contest.

The victory got Gila Ridge back to even at 1-1. As for Dobson, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-2.
