Basketball Game Preview: Minor Tigers vs. Pinson Valley Indians

Last Friday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Minor beat Homewood 62-57.

Meanwhile, Pinson Valley suffered their closest defeat since January 23, 2024 on Friday. They fell just short of Clay-Chalkville by a score of 55-53. The loss continues a trend for the Indians in their matchups with the Cougars: they've now lost four in a row.

Minor pushed their record up to 19-4 with the win, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.6 points per game. As for Pinson Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-8.

Minor might still be hurting after the 60-36 loss they got from Pinson Valley in their previous matchup back in November of 2020. Can Minor avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
