Soccer Game Preview: Grand County vs. Beaver

The Grand County Red Devils will head out to square off against the Beaver Beavers at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Grand County is headed out to face Beaver after opening their season at home and giving their fans just what they were looking for. Grand County sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over Gunnison Valley on Tuesday. The Red Devils haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Grand County hit Gunnison Valley with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from River Shaw, Jake Mason, and Cristian Valencia.

Meanwhile, Beaver had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They put the hurt on San Juan with a sharp 5-0 win.

Grand County beat Beaver by a goal in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, winning 3-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for Grand County since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
