Baseball Recap: Blackman Comes Up Short in High-Profile Matchup with Siegel

Blackman faced Siegel in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Blaze fell just short of the Stars by a score of 5-4. The defeat continues a trend for the Blaze in their meetings with the Stars: they've now lost nine in a row.

Blackman saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Andrew Monson, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI.

Blackman's loss dropped their record down to 21-8. As for Siegel, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 23-10.
