Basketball Game Preview: Loomis Wolves vs. Blue Hill Bobcats

The Loomis Wolves just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Blue Hill Bobcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Loomis has struggled recently with 13 defeats in a row, while Blue Hill will arrive with four straight wins.

On Thursday, Loomis came up short against Brady and fell 45-37.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Blue Hill challenged Harvard on Tuesday. Blue Hill breezed by Harvard to the tune of 49-10. The Bobcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five games by 20 points or more this season.

Blue Hill had a senior duo take command as Ellie Mangers went 8 for 15 en route to 18 points and Reece Mlady posted seven points in addition to eight rebounds and four steals. Mlady is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 11 games she's played. Sienna Mlady was another key player, putting up eight points.

Blue Hill smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in four consecutive matches.

Blue Hill has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 27.6 points per game. As for Loomis, their loss dropped their record down to 1-14.
